Today’s Challenge: List 5 things you are grateful for. Do you need to tell someone “thank you”?
So January 2015, I decided to do a “Journey to Gratitude” – post one thing everyday for which I am grateful. I knew that my heart and soul were not in a good place, and I thought that channeling positivity through gratitude would be a good first step. The first week was easy….family, friends, etc. Then I had to dig a bit. On the tough days, I just didn’t know what to be thankful for. But it gave me an awesome perspective of “the little things” that are blessings in my life. By the end of January, life began to open all kinds of blessings – even bigger blessings – and my heart began to change, to become more compassionate. While I don’t promise that a “journey to gratitude” will completely transform your life and make you a millionaire, I do think that small steps (such as being grateful) on a consistent basis can slowly transform you and your life. When YOU are more positive, you will ATTRACT more positivity. And even though certain circumstances may not change, your ATTITUDE will change – and therefore you will treat those circumstances differently……..which can ultimately lead to the circumstances themselves changing.
So what are you grateful for? Today, list 5 things. And have you forgotten to thank someone along the way? Today, I challenge you to begin to channel positivity by being more grateful. And the bonus challenge is to reach out to someone to thank them for something they have done for you.
My 5 things today are:
1. I am thankful that I am healthy today.
2. I am thankful that I have the luxury of working part-time and from home.
3. I am thankful for the beautiful lake and mountain views from my home.
4. I am thankful for the blessed summer that we’ve had – lots of family and friends came to visit us!
5. I am thankful for my daughter and husband, and the joys that they bring to my life.
So what are you thankful for?
